Ana M. Castro, Esq.

Ana M. Castro is a trial attorney who advocates exclusively for injured workers. Her current practice focuses on claims under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act. Ms. Castro is dedicated to working zealously for her clients.

 She began her career representing claimants, large self-insured employers, Fortune 1000 companies, and insurance carriers in the workers’ compensation arena. She has handled all aspects of claims from inception through trial. As first chair in numerous trials, Ms. Castro has tackled complex technical cases in her field. She has also pioneered interactive seminars and workshops for clients on a variety of topics.

 Before joining Barnett, Lerner, Karsen, Frankel & Castro, P.A. in 2013, Ms. Castro was a partner at a national insurance defense firm, where she managed the Florida workers’ compensation division. Under her leadership, the firm adopted new technologies that improved practice efficiency.

 With her comprehensive understanding of how insurance companies defend claims, Ms. Castro is uniquely equipped to represent injured workers and level the playing field to maximize their recovery. Ms. Castro has distinguished herself through her skill, experience, and reputation developed over 30 years of practice. She has successfully represented clients worldwide.

 A native Floridian, Ms. Castro attended the University of Florida and the University of Miami School of Law. She is fluent in Spanish and is a proud member of the Dade County Bar Association and the District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
