Meeting Your Attorney

shutterstock_74416918Our firm represents injured workers from around the world in their Defense Base Act claims. Modern technology makes this possible, and helps overcome some of the more traditional logistical problems associated with a worldwide client base.

If you live in the United States, our attorneys will travel to your location for mediation and trial. Our U.S. clients also have the ability to meet our attorneys in either our Fort Lauderdale, Florida or Washington, D.C. offices. Whether you live in or outside of the United States, you can communicate with your attorney by electronic mail (e-mail), telephone, facsimile, or mail. Our firm also has video telecommunication capabilities, including Skype for each of the attorneys and most events in the claim and litigation process can be accomplished by telephone or Skype.

Moreover, if you live outside of the United States, and cannot travel to the U.S. for trial due to financial or other reasons, you can still have your day in Court. Our firm routinely handles claims from workers living in remote areas of the globe, and the Court has the discretion to permit trial by submission of all the documentary evidence, including a worker’s deposition transcript, in lieu of requiring a live appearance at trial. This relieves the burden of traveling to the U.S. for trial. The Courts also offer other methods of holding trial, including appearing telephonically or by video conference coordinated at a local U.S. embassy.

If you would like to speak or meet with any of the attorneys, please feel free to call our office and schedule a conference at your convenience.
